Wir waren für 3 Nächte bei Clare und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Clare war sehr Herzlich und Gastfreundlich. Sie hat uns immer gute Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und sogar ein Termin zum reiten vereinbart. Das Zimmer war groß, schön eingerichtet und mit eigenem Bad. Mit super schönen Aussicht auf's Meer! Frühstück war auch sehr lecker, sogar das Porridge mochten wir sehr. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder kommen!!!
Notre séjour (3 nuitées) a été un grand moment de bonheur grâce à la qualité de notre hébergement (une belle chambre à l'étage, très spacieuse, avec une vue incroyable, une grande salle de bains privée) et aussi et surtout grâce à la gentillesse et aux attentions quotidiennes de Clare : un bon petit déjeuner adapté à nos besoins pour bien commencer la journée, des renseignements utiles et précis sur les restaurants et pubs des environs, sur les randonnées à faire (le Kerry way joignable en partant à pied du B&B !), les lieux à voir, ceux non incontournables, ceci toujours…
Das Thidwick, eines der schönst gelegenen B&B direkt am Ring of Kerry, war für unseren 2 wöchigen Urlaub fast schon ein Zuhause. Clare, die Gastgeberin und Eigentümerin, ist sehr herzlich und freundlich und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser Zimmer Nr.1 war groß und schön eingerichtet. Mit eigenem Bad und einer wunderschönen Aussicht auf das Meer. Diesen Ausblick haben wir jeden Morgen nach dem Aufstehen und auch nach jedem vergangenen Tag am Abend mit einem warmen Tee oder einem Guinness genossen! (more…)
Wow, what an amazing place with an incredible view. Perfect position. The beach, nature walk, and old abbey below--probably the most beautiful place we saw in Ireland. Clean and spacious accommodation with friendly and interesting folks hosting. Generous and tasty breakfast. A treasure.

I have been traveling around Ireland for a while and have visited a lot of BnBs, but this one is by far the best you can find. Period. The thing we loved most about staying with Clare and Dezi was the warm hospitality we received from the moment we arrived until we said goodbye three days later. When we came back soaked from an adventure at sea, Dezi gave me everything but the shirt off his back. If that was soaked I'm sure that would have been thrown in. Best stay in Ireland! Clare is warm and friendly, has a fascinating life story, and her house is stunningly beautiful. The views are everything advertised and hiking trails down to beaches, monasteries, and forests filled with fairy houses begin literally across the street. And she makes a mean breakfast to boot--including delicious veggie omelets if you don't eat meat. We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived at the house near Caherdaniel- the views from there are even more beautiful than in the pictures and the house and the room are fantastic, full of light and warmth! We couldn't have asked for better hosts either. Clare made us feel very welcome, cooked us hearty breakfasts of porridge, eggs and bacon and veggie omelette, and turned out to be a fount of all knowledge when it comes to the surrounding areas. Clare & Dezy are without doubt great hosts & have a very laid-back, but professional approach. Their place is not only very comfortable (good bed, very clean & good shower) – but has the most spectacular views – breathtaking! We were invited to join them for an evening of music & Irish prose, this in itself felt like an added bonus. The following morning we enjoyed a hearty cooked breakfast.
