"Show us the Real Ireland" was a frequent request from Dezy's fans as he toured the USA performing in house concerts. Many of these fans had toured Ireland on their own but felt they had missed a lot by sticking to guidebook recommendations and tourist traps.

So in 2009 we began showing off the hidden gems of South West Ireland to small groups of kindred spirits with our little touring company, Ireland Unplugged Tours.

Through friends and madness we stumbled upon this home that is now Thidwick Bed and Breakfast in Derrynane, the best spot on the Ring of Kerry. When hosting tour groups off-season, it is from here that we head out for each day's adventure, and when we return in the evening the excursion continues.

The word continues to be spread through friends of friends of friends of friends.

My passions are travel, cooking, hospitality and organizing. I am South African of French and Dutch parents, taught Zulu and have US citizenship.
Dezy is a professional entertainer, pianist, playwright, songwriter and theatre producer. He is Irish, born in Dublin and reared in Cork.
We have toured all over the US and have lived in Naples, Florida and Portland, Oregon besides Ireland, the UK and Dezy's 5 years in the Netherlands.

We are committed to our passions, following our dreams and facilitating others to follow theirs. Dezy's musical play "Not the Life I Ordered" is central to his work, and also how we met each other.
